Sergiy Shkanov is from Kiev in the Ukraine.
This site gives a sample some of his work in painting and etching. Much of his recent work is influenced by the motifs of the Bronze age Trypillian culture and Easter egg patterns, producing amongst others, the works of the reminiscence cycle, a number of which can be viewed here.
Sergiy is also accomplished in printmaking and graphic arts: he taught printmaking for several years in the Ukraine and holds a diploma in graphic design from the Ukrainian Poligraphic Institute.
The Artist has studied oil painting restoration and stained glass in London, where he is currently based.
